There is so much that we want to be and become. It’s a time to gain inspiration from business women like L’Erin Stortz. She is a change-maker, who stands as an example of how we can achieve personal fulfillment with her passion as an entrepreneur and influencer.

When Did You Realize It Was Time for a Change?

L’Erin realized it was time for a change. It was her dream to build an empire in the beauty industry since she was a kid. To her that meant “having multiple locations” and being a “boss babe” by the age of 30. She did more than that as an entrepreneurial leader and a spokesperson. She was on a panel for L’Oréal, and her hard work translated into a “fastest growing company” status, with the opportunity to become part-owner in the salon. She had achieved success. It just wasn’t what she’d dreamed of.  The costs were too high in terms of personal fulfillment. She couldn’t see herself “walking into that same salon in 5 years’ time…” So, she took a step back and did a sanity check of her life. She didn’t want to continue to work outrageous hours (80+), with mounting responsibilities, and no view of real freedom. She also realized that she was working toward something that would never give her the personal, professional, and financial freedom that she really wanted. Network marketing had already started beckoning, and by the time she knew she needed a change, her new direction was already clearly laid out for her.

Are You Willing to Make Sacrifices to Achieve Success in 2020?

L’Erin has always worked to achieve her goals, but that’s not the same as a sacrifice. There’s something about jumping in full tilt, without knowing how it will turn out. That’s where her faith comes in. She has made sacrifices because of where she is in her career right now. She is “committed to showing up 100%, doing more than the average person.” She says, “I’m working harder now than I did, but it feels different. I’m making the sacrifices now… I’m willing to invest this time.” So, it’s a matter of choice, with an end goal in view. She envisions a life of future freedom, a reward for the hard work and sacrifice.

Are You Ready to Give Back to the Community/Loved Ones?

L’Erin says, “I believe the more you give the more you will receive. That’s what fills people’s cup.” So, she mentors a family, she’s a godparent to nine children, and she takes part in causes important to her. She sees an essential part of her success in the way she taps into her connections. She plans to launch a Mastermind series for entrepreneurs as she continues to invest in her personal and professional network.

Are You Willing to Take Risks in 2020?

Women aren’t recognized for their ability to take risks. It takes tenacity, a willingness to follow that gut instinct and inner voice or calling. L’Erin is a risk taker. She started over, which took a lot of courage. It wasn’t easy. She invested in herself, but also threw herself into her reinvention. She continued to work in the salon when she first struck out on her own as an entrepreneur, and that dedication to hard work has not changed. The main difference is that, instead of working to achieve someone else’s success, she works for herself. She sees it as a lifestyle choice that can translate into freedom and balance.

Are You Ready to Invest in People?

L’Erin believed in the company, the product, and the compensation model, but she also believes in individuals.  This is why she ask, “Who are the core people that you invest your time into?” “Who do you want to travel with? Who do you imagine sitting around your round table in front of you—that’s your core leaders?” That’s why you make hard decisions because these are the people who are dedicated and you want to help them achieve success. After the sales team is in place, she focuses on the vision/blueprint and then the work really begins. By starting out and building connections, she’s able to tap into purpose and fundamental values. She envisions a way to achieve personal and financial success by helping others master theirs.

Are You Prepared to Learn?

L’Erin doesn’t believe there are any mistakes. “There are only challenges,” she says. Instead of seeing the negative, she asks, “How are you learning from that lesson?” That focuses on enrichment. This is similar to how she starts her day with morning rituals. “It’s imperative to start the day off for success.” She adds, “I wake up, I meditate.” She visualizes where she’s going and what she’s creating. Writes in her Gratitude Journal and then listens to podcasts to get her into the right mindset.

The top ones that she recommends are:

     •                 For the Love of Money – “Chris Harder. He’s all about the power of giving and generosity. When good people make money, they do great things. He’s been a huge mentor to me,” she says. “He’s amazing.”

     •                 Earn Your Happy – “Lori Harder. It’s about the power of waking up and finding your happy. We create ourselves every single day.”

     •                 The10X Rule, by Grant Cardone – “It’s about taking your goals and 10xing all of them. Amplify yourself and think so much bigger. No matter what, you’ll fall farther ahead than what you would have set for yourself. I love any book by Grant Cardone.”

Are You Adding Value to Your Audience?

L’Erin revisits the question: “How can I add value to my audience online and offline?” She starts by blocking out her entire day, so she has time set aside to connect with new people, to have mentor meetings with her team, interacting at events, and developing content. She’s building her online mentorship course, producing content for social media, and she’s also crafting the subject matter for her podcast; Business for Breakfast with L’Erin–for launch in March 2020.

For herself and those she mentors, she recommends focusing on what each person is great at, and then constructing the visually appealing assets for the social media platform that will best support those strengths. That approach resonates with your audience. L’Erin focuses on how she is showing up online, and then she writes directly to her network.

Are You Ready to Make Hard Choices?

For L’Erin, the turning point was when she realized that she would never have it all with her career path in the beauty industry. L’Erin decided to be an entrepreneur. She could work hard, achieve success, and have it all. She could focus on building her business, guide and invest in others, and progress toward the objective where she hopes to mentor and travel. It comes full-circle and while the initial stages were rough, those choices just involve a shift in perspective.

How Will You Know If/When you’re on the Right Track?

L’Erin says, “My success and happiness comes from helping other people succeed. Making their dreams come true is what lights me up.” It makes her feel, “This is working. This is why I’m doing this.” She likes to sit down with her leaders and delve into what their strengths and “genius” are. L’Erin needs to find out what their path and purpose are, so she can help them learn what their greats are. Then, they can weave what they are good at and what they are meant to be doing with the goal of achieving bliss with network marketing. Then, wellness figures in to “amplify their brand and their business.” Since wellness is such an important area of focus, she coaches her team to build a business that takes health, peace of mind, and financial freedom into account as they achieve their larger brand goals.

Are You Prepared to Make a Plan?

L’Erin recognized that there was so much that she wanted to do. It was not a decision she undertook without thought and careful planning, but the plan for the future and her marketing campaigns are ongoing plans that culminate in success. It doesn’t happen overnight. “I think where people go wrong is they try to sell right that second… instead of building a relationship.” It’s essential to create a process and inspire curiosity, but it doesn’t happen in an instant. “It’s like online dating,” she says. “That’s what will keep them coming back for more and what will help them become a long-term client. You build the rapport… and the trust. This is how you build loyalty for life.”

Are You Prepared to Impact the World?

Building a business will impact your life, but it still has the potential of emanating influence far beyond the personal spheres. L’Erin prefers to be known for developing leadership teams for the present. She wants to go on helping others build their businesses, so they can find their bliss, but she will still continue to invest in companies and people. Her superpower is her ability to “lean in” to her faith and “take risks.” It’s not something that’s easy to do.

It’s a trust exercise. Envision falling into each other’s arms, relying on the power of our community. She accomplished goals that may have seemed insurmountable because she believes so strongly. “I have been able to do much more than the average woman would think about doing,” she says, “just because I trust my faith.” That’s her superpower.

L’Erin stresses: “Be hungrier than the average person. If you want this in this world… Lean in. Drown out the noise all around you and listen to the voice within you.” It sounds simple. “Too many people are trying to seek external validation to make decisions instead of leaning in and listening to their heart and the little voice inside them guiding them.”

What Happens When You Face Challenges?

It won’t always be easy. “When it gets rough, and it will get hard,” she says. “Instead of quitting, make pivots.” Believe in yourself. Think about how you can try harder. “How can I be hungrier? How can I keep showing up every single day when it doesn’t feel good?” There will be difficulties, challenges, and disappointments, so her question is:”How do I show up when I’m sitting on the floor in tears because it’s taking longer than you thought it would?” She offers an answer: “Lean into that process… Wherever you are in the journey, trust that process.”

How Do You Protect Yourself and Your Family?

L’Erin says: “I don’t care who you are in this world or what you do. You want to have multiple streams of income. Network marketing is the fastest, easiest, and most sustainable way to create a foundation for your long-term compensation.” It’s not the only stream she recommends. Here are the three types of profit:

     •                 Passive income: “leveraging people’s networks and resources.” As she explains, “They are sources where you build something together.” It also “keeps coming in.”

     •                 100% Self-directed: You don’t work for anyone. Make it something you’re passionate about. It’s the dream work that makes everything else worthwhile.

     •                 Business: It could be your job or your personal business.

L’Erin asks herself every day, “What did I do to move my business forward today? Where did I waste time?” It’s a focus on improvement and putting the effort in. She believes in the power of pursuing goals that you believe in. Faith takes time and personal investment. That’s her legacy.

Why “Legacy Lifestyle?”

“Legacy is the top ranks in our company” L’Erin states. In network marketing you are building a legacy with the compensation plan that allows you to pass it down from one generation to the next. A sustainable income. This may not be the true “dictionary” version of a legacy but it is for her. Legacy is a powerful word. How do you show up in your everyday life? How do you impact others? When you link up with our team or partner with us, our legacy is how you feel when we mentor you, our coaching skills, and how we lead people is our legacy. Our company is a lifestyle. If we turn this opportunity into a way to effectively make change that becomes a Legacy Lifestyle. L’Erin says, “Let me be clear, this is not about the Legacy Lifestyle.” I want to help build brands and give people the ability to use our company as a platform to empower and guide them to draw out their natural gifts. We help ambitious leaders and lifestyle entrepreneur’s rise, create a life of impact, financial freedom, and a lasting legacy to come.

Are Business Women on the Rise?

L’Erin stated “This is a golden era for women to be in business.” Women almost have an upper-hand because they can almost start any company call it what they want and it takes off. If they have their zone of genius, work hard, and use momentum they are sure to be on fire. As we were talking L’Erin shared, “Statics prove men start with network marketing for the money and women for the products. If you see a lot of men, the company is taking off.” Women start business for all different reasons. Some just want to bring their husbands home. They want them to stop compromising time and money for the fame and recognition. Network marketing is an avenue that allows more men time with their family and to be truly free and available. Women will show up and put in the grind and grit to make this a possibility for their family. L’Erin laid her ground-work and fought to be a bada$$ business women. Network marketing taught her how to create her own life, work from anywhere, create financial freedom, and this allows her to have choices to shatter the glass ceiling! L’Erin says, “I left what was familiar and embraced uncertainty.” Where else can a women do that and get paid for her value, her efforts, and her work.

Mental Rehabilitation

“Dream bigger,” L’Erins says. “I don’t know where God’s taking me, but I know it’s going to be amazing!” She also mentions a quote her mom would say to her, “Whatever you are going to do in your life just get in the vicinity.”

Here are a few more mental lessons from L’Erin:

● The future favors the ones that are consistent and take action and don’t wait for their

world to get better, they go out there and make it better.

● If you want massive results, you have to take massive action and do it daily and

consistently.

● Everything you dream is possible. Just decide your dream is worth fighting for and be

unshakeable and unstoppable in the pursuit of it.

● Anything great and worth working for is always going to require you to go through the

PROCESS to get there.

L’Erin is truly a mix of fierce determination, contagious passion, strong in her faith, laugh out loud, badass business women who can stand toe to toe with anyone and yet listen with undivided attention, gracious patience, and truly help you find your meaning and direction in this life. It is a sure bet if and when you decide to work with her.

“Now you understand just why my head’s not bowed. I don’t shout or jump about or

have to talk real loud. When you see me passing it ought to make you proud. It’s in the

click of my heels, the bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, the need for care. ‘Cause I’m

a Woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal Woman, That’s me.” Maya Angelou
